Old Town Celebration

The day after Thanksgiving , there was a "Welcome Christmas" celebration down in old town Pocatello. It was really fun, albeit really cold! There were about 5 different places to go do things with children, then the parade of lights was after dark. Here are some highlights.

Uh oh. Batman caught joker!

Making candy canes and snowflake ornaments.

Getting ready for the parade to start. There was a little bookstore just behind and to the left of us. They had a Hank the Cowdog for 2 dollars, so we read that to keep busy.

Getting to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. They also had free hot chocolate and cookies here. Goose got a free pair of gloves from them. Evidentally there was a huge donation of those stretchy knit gloves. Goose ended up with 3 pair by the end of the day. Unfortunately, they may be stretchy, but were made for children younger than she is.

At the high school, they had this little train ride kind of thing. Then inside there were two different bouncy houses. It was a pretty packed couple of hours getting all the activities in, but it was really fun. The only thing we paid for was a loaf of banana bread from Great Harvest. Yum!
